Crashing In framed 12×12 acrylic on canvas
About the piece: Sometimes when the waves come Crashing In it’s a good thing. Though I prefer the still water where peace and serenity flow – waves crashing means clear and cyclical movement is happening. Necessary movement. We might feel a little wind whipped or ship wrecked by such movement, but the flip side is usually some kind of new adventure or opening that only comes from the courage of overcoming adversity. So, just maybe when I see aggressive waves it’s a reminder to me that everything doesn’t have to be so perfect all the time. Maybe it makes me better to remember that nature is bigger than I am. Maybe a few crashing waves or an angry sea is just what I needed to get going again.
