About the piece:
I was walking on my favorite path today noticing that some of the early flowers are already starting to show their little green stems. Spring is one of my favorite time to talk walks because everything changes from day to day. There are new colors and shades that make me feel a sense of something new. Though we have a month or so before they arrive, irises are often known as a symbol of faith, as in, have a little. I always like this in the spring right after the dreary skies have invaded the winter. Iris Spring represents faith in new beginnings. That delicate time where something special emerges out of the seemingly emptiness of winter. The faith that it’s all going to work out somehow if we just stay the course and keep a steady hand- that there can be an elegant shift into a sense of trust after things have felt bereft for a while.
